Meet The Assistants

Jenny - Chiropractic Assistant/Manager

Jenny - Chiropractic Assistant

My journey to becoming a Chiropractic Assistant at Pinewood Chiropractic has been shaped by my personal experiences as a patient. For many years, I struggled with various health issues that affected my daily life and seemed insurmountable. After trying numerous treatments with little success, I walked into Pinewood Chiropractic as a patient, hopeful yet sceptical about the possible outcome.

From my very first visit, I was greeted with warmth and professionalism that made me feel comfortable. Dr. Matthew Panetta and his team took the time to listen to my concerns and created a tailored treatment plan that addressed my specific needs. The specific adjustments and treatment I received not only alleviated my pain but also improved my movement and overall quality of life. I felt a sense of empowerment learning more about my body and how it functioned effectively in daily activities.

After experiencing such profound changes, I couldn’t stop talking or thinking about it. Getting to know the team through my treatment and constantly asking them questions, I was eventually offered a position. The decision was easy and I made the transition from patient to Chiropractic Assistant, hoping to support individuals on their own healing journeys. In this role I have the privilege of interacting with patients daily, guiding them through their chiropractic experience and helping them understand the benefits of care.

My time spent as a patient searching for answers allows me to empathise with those walking through our doors. I cherish the moments when I can witness the positive changes in our patients’ lives, whether it’s alleviating chronic pain or helping them recover from an injury. This next chapter of my life being a part of the Pinewood Chiropractic team is more than just a job for me; it’s a calling. I've come full circle and I am proud to be a part of a team that prioritises patient care and promotes holistic healing.

Balancing work with my responsibilities as a mother of two has been challenging but incredibly rewarding. Being a CA has opened my eyes and changed my approach towards teaching my children about the importance of looking after our bodies. I believe that every person deserves access to quality care and I work hard to create a welcoming and supportive environment for all of our patients.

My path to becoming a Chiropractic Assistant and a fourth-year chiropractic student has been anything but straightforward. Growing up, I was unsure about my future career. After finishing school, I worked various jobs, including a stint at McDonald’s, but none of them felt fulfilling. I was searching for something meaningful, and I found that missing piece through my family’s experience with chiropractic care.

My parents were struggling with various health issues and decided to seek help from a Gonstead Chiropractor. The results were remarkable! Not only did they experience significant pain relief, but they also gained a deeper understanding of their health and well-being. Witnessing their transformation awoke an inner drive within me, encouraging deeper exploration and understanding. I realised just how powerful chiropractic care could be and I was motivated to explore further.

Through their experiences, I learned about the Gonstead technique, which emphasises precise adjustments and thorough assessments. I became fascinated by the science behind chiropractic care and the impact it can have on individuals’ lives. I decided to pursue a career in chiropractic, enrolling in a program that would allow me to dive deeper into this transformative practice.

As a Chiropractic Assistant at Pinewood Chiropractic, I have the opportunity to engage with patients daily, supporting them on their journeys to better health. I enjoy helping patients feel welcomed and comfortable, sharing my enthusiasm for chiropractic care. My role allows me to observe the incredible changes that take place when patients receive care, and it reinforces my commitment to this profession.

Balancing my responsibilities as a student and a CA has its challenges, but I am driven by my passion for chiropractic care. Every interaction with patients strengthens my desire to become a chiropractor myself.

I am excited to continue learning about the Gonstead technique and refining my skills to provide the best possible care in the future. Looking ahead, I hope to not only treat patients but also educate them about their health and the importance of maintaining wellness. I want to inspire others, just as the the case of my parents' experience has inspired me. While I know that my journey is only just beginning, I am dedicated to making a meaningful impact in the lives of those I serve.
